About the Staff
Dr. Megan (Burgess) Kohler, DC
Chiropractor | Owner
Dr. Megan (Burgess) Kohler, DC is a St. Pete native who attended The Canterbury School of Florida, and then went on to play Division I volleyball for Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY. She attended chiropractic school at National University of Health Sciences in Pinellas Park, FL, where she also became certified in acupuncture. Dr. (Burgess) Kohler graduated in 2020 and since then has worked as an associate doctor at local chiropractic practices where she has gained hands-on experience with chiropractic care, acupuncture, dry needling, nutrition, and rehabilitation.
Dr. (Burgess) Kohler came to know chiropractic for the first time while in high school. She played competitive volleyball and sustained a shoulder injury her junior year that kept her from playing the end of her season. For the injury, she saw a chiropractor for the first time and was blown away with the knowledge and skills that came with the profession. Her shoulder was healed in less than a month and has not given her problems since. This was the event that led to Dr. (Burgess) Kohler’s decision to start the journey of becoming a doctor of chiropractic.
Dr. (Burgess) Kohler understands the importance of continuing her education throughout her career to stay up to date with the latest research and tools that can better help her patients. Since graduating, Dr. (Burgess) Kohler has become full body certified in Active Release Technique (ART). ART is a soft tissue technique that is non-invasive and precisely engineered to locate and quickly resolve soft tissue disorders. She has also become certified in Dry Needling through the Integrative Dry Needling Institute. This institute teaches neurologic dry needling, which targets the nerves in the body that can cause neurologic and musculoskeletal pain. It is a very effective tool in treating many pain conditions.
Dr. (Burgess) Kohler is very passionate about health, nutrition, and fitness and wants to instill the importance of these key pillars of health to her patients. In her free time, Dr. (Burgess) Kohler enjoys working out, going to the beach, and spending time with family and friends.
